The Young Engineers Forum of Nigeria (YEFoN)

Empowering early-career engineers across all disciplines

The Young Engineers Forum of Nigeria (YEFoN) serves as the youth arm of the Nigerian Society of
Engineers (NSE), dedicated to inspiring, empowering, and connecting early-career engineers across all disciplines. Founded with the mission to nurture talent and amplify the voices of young professionals, YEFoN actively promotes professional growth, mentorship, innovation, entrepreneurship, and community service within the engineering ecosystem.

Get Involved

Whether you're a student, recent graduate, or early-career professional, YEFoN offers multiple entry points to engage with the engineering community:

Attend Events: Join workshops, webinars, and technical sessions hosted by your local NSE branch.

Participate in Competitions: Showcase your skills through innovation challenges and talent showcases.

Volunteer: Support outreach programs and community initiatives that promote STEM education.

Lead: Take on leadership roles within your branch and contribute to national YEFoN programs.

Branch Engagement

YEFoN operates actively across NSE branches nationwide. Each branch has a dedicated YEFoN coordinator who facilitates local programs, supports new members, and ensures alignment with national goals. Branch-level activities include:

• Technical workshops tailored to local industry needs • Outreach to nearby schools and tertiary institutions • Networking events and mentorship meetups • Participation in NSE branch conferences and exhibitions Members are encouraged to engage with their local branch to maximize opportunities for growth and visibility.

National Coordination

At the national level, YEFoN is guided by a central committee that sets strategic direction, coordinates inter-branch collaboration, and oversees flagship programs. The committee works closely with the NSE national leadership to ensure young engineers are represented in decision-making and policy development.

National programs include: • Annual Young Engineers Summit • National Innovation Challenge • Leadership bootcamps and entrepreneurship clinics • Technical paper presentations and awards
